Dear friends, we are searching for a highly skilled and detail-oriented **QA Backend Manual + Automation Engineer** to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of complex backend systems that manage tracking, analysis, and the delivery of order-related events. This position is perfect for a proactive QA professional with a strong background in manual and automated backend testing, who is comfortable working with REST APIs, SQL databases, and has a keen eye for data integrity and analytics. This is a full-time, remote position. You can work from anywhere in the world. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of systems that power critical analytics and order management processes, influencing key business decisions. **Key Responsibilities:** Backend System Testing: Perform comprehensive manual testing of backend systems that handle tracking, analytics, and the delivery of order-related events, including order lists and business-critical data. API and Database Validation: Conduct daily testing activities involving REST API and complex SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and system stability. Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain functional automated tests for backend systems to improve efficiency and ensure consistent coverage. Bug Investigation & Data Analysis: Analyze data discrepancies between actual system outputs and expected business outcomes, identifying root causes and contributing to solutions. Load & Performance Testing (Optional): While not mandatory, experience with load and performance testing will be considered a strong plus. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to align testing efforts with business goals and technical requirements. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance testing strategies, increase automation coverage, and improve product quality. **Candidate Profile:** Experience Level: Mid to Senior QA Engineer (individual contributor role, no team management responsibilities). Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in manual backend testing. Solid knowledge and daily use of REST API testing and crafting complex SQL queries. Exposure to .NET environments, aligning with the team’s tech stack. Experience in backend test automation using JavaScript. Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills with the ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies between actual and expected results. Detail-Oriented: Ability to detect subtle issues in backend processes and data flows. Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in debugging and resolving complex issues in data-driven systems. Language Requirement: Fluent Russian — required for internal communication and documentation. **Bonus Points For:** Experience with load and performance testing.
